You may remember from a previous post that many years ago we had "people" come live with us before. Friends of my hubby who were having money problems. That was about 10 years ago and it was the beginning of lots of problems between my husband and I.
Well, a few weeks ago we got an email from one of 'the people' saying that he was separated from his wife. Hubby called him back and invited him to come stay with us for a week and get his head screwed on straight. By the time he got here my husband was talking about how the plan was for his friend to go to school for a few months while he was staying with us. WHAT??!?!?!?!
No WAY!!! Now I don't mind helping people, but I have so many bad memories from when he and his family stayed with us that time before. Plus, this man needs to be with his family... not here with mine. I chose the man that I wanted see across the breakfast table every morning and it was MY husband... not this other guy.
So I didn't keep my mouth shut. As soon as this 'person' sat down to tell me his sad story I put it right out there. This man is a Christian. He says that his wife lies to him all the time and she will never change. I said so what? So what if she never changes? Our spouse is God's greatest gift to us. Sometimes it may not seem like it. But you have to remember what God's ultimate goal is.... to make us more like Christ. And a lot of times, the tool He chooses to use is our spouse.
So a few days later he tells me that he got a call from a friend in Fresno, CA who offered him a job and a place to live as a property manager and he believes that it is a gift from God because he was merciful on his wife and forgave her. Yesterday he returned to his wife and family on an airplane.
Praise God!!

oooh doggy that was a close one eh? You were right to tell him his place is at home no matter what.
Have a good day, now that you can run around in pink fuzzy slippers and a bathrobe when ever you want and sit across from your fellow!
Wow, good for you for telling him the truth, no matter how hard it was to do (and hear)
...mysterious way's....huh?
Thank you Kendra for letting God use you again!
I am such a bad person...when I read "sometimes the tool he uses is our spouse!" All I could think about is...sometimes my spouse is a tool...that God uses!
I know...I need to be in prayer more!!!
Hi Kendra--I'm glad that all worked out for you!!
PRAISE GOD!
