I Missed a Great Way to Start the Week

I fell asleep yesterday and missed church. I guess 3 straight night shifts AND cramps were too much. I still feel guilty, though. And I know that this week just wont feel as good as it could have.

Maybe Miss Kendra, God thought sleep was more important to your soul than church yesteray. He's helping you take care of yourself. Cuz I bet you don't take time out for you.

I'm starting to worry that nursing school won't like me.

I feel your pain...y'know the cramps!
Always....God is good and we just need the sleep and rest! Take good care of yourself and God will take care of the rest...I wish you a good week!

Sweetie - God isn't gonna hang you out to dry because you missed church. He's right there as He always is... supporting you and sustaining you.

I know what you mean about the week not feeling right if you haven't been to church. I used to feel that way when we went to regular church. The music, the sermon, all that happening with lots of other Christians around, yah it makes you feel different.

I still feel that way if I am laid up a long time for some reason - rarely happens but I was out of commission for a week last spring, and it was hard not to be gaining strength from gathering with the Body. We don't go to church or gather with the Body for God's sake, we do it for the sake of our soul(in a "work out your salvation with fear and trembling" sort of way), the sake of others and yes it encourages, exhorts and uplifts that we may be better ministers of the Word. But I understood what you said, so.... put on some worship music, read a fiery sermon on someone's blog or go to John Piper's site, he's safe. Have a hot God conversation or two, grab a cup of coffee in a styrofoam cup (if your church allows that) and maybe your week won't be so off track. Being with the Body is being with the Body; no matter the day, no matter the where.

Hope you're feeling better soon.
