These are not good quality photos and are not in the family photo album.
After passing our finals in December of '95, my classmates and I gathered in the Superstition Mountains at a campsite to light a bonfire and burn our Student Nurse Uniforms. They were a polyester blend and stunk and smoked terribly. I haven't worn ceil blue since. As much as I was relieved to finally get out of nursing school, I look back on those days fondly. They really were some good times.

How fun! I love traditions like that. I bet that was a stinky fire!
Thanks for participating! (Btw, your link didn't work, so I fixed it)!
LOL, that's funny! I'm sure they really did smell...a small price to pay for the satisfaction of burning them though, I'm sure!
Ahhh, the nursing school uniforms. Right before I began clinicals the University of Alabama decided to get rid of the "shoney's red apron". Thankfully we got some type of white cotton get up that was a little more tolerable.
Love the 'fro and your adorable smile:-)
My roommate in college was a nursing student. Sometimes with all the studying I helped her with I felt like I earned a degree too! Especially the time I awakened to find a tourniquet on my arm and a syringe encroaching on my veins...IV PRACTICE! UM, I don't think so! LOL
Ah, the days of careplans, anatomy, medical terminology and clinicals. She never had to wear any funky uniform though, and if she had, I'm sure she would have rebelled! LOL
haha! That is so funny. Knowing me I would have needed that thing for a costume or something later on in life. :) haha! Cute memories
